About LWC
LWC is open to any youth interested in wrestling whether a serious athlete or recreational, regardless of the city of residence or school affiliation.
LWC Mission Statement: The Lincoln Wrestling Club is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote and provide
quality wrestling instruction and training to youth. Our volunteer coaches provide a fun, challenging and structured
environment which encourages its members to develop and strive for excellence in wrestling techniques
and physical fitness as well as fostering personal growth in self-esteem, endurance and sportsmanship.
Parent Meetings for LWC Members
Regular Session Parent Meeting DATE: TBA
Our parent meeting is a requirement for returning and new families because you will recieve:
*Details on who LWC is as a club, how LWC runs and what to expect during this season.
*Details from coach Palmer on what wrestlers can expect in the practice room and what he expects from wrestlers and parents.
*Singlets for wrestlers (a deposit is required)
*Club gear order forms
*Information on our tournament and first pick at where you want to help.
Mandatory Parent Meeting regarding tournament work:
*Two training meetings will be held at some point during a regular practice.
*You must attend even if a veteran worker. Your experience is helpful to new workers.
*Please bring any teenagers to this meeting that will be working the tournament.
About Practices
Our goal is to have two practices a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At times we must adjust those dates according to the building availablity. When practice dates are finalized a calendar will be posted here and at practices. See calendar.
Competition
LWC believes a healthy level of competition is necessary to fully develop a wrestler.
We try to recommend and make information available for a variety of tournaments.
If you have a question about entering your wrestler in an upcoming competition, please talk with Coach Palmer.

LWC Tournament
The 2009 LWC Tournament will be held Sunday, February 8th, 2009.
We look forward to hosting 700 area wrestlers as well as their families and friends.
This is the club fund raising project and participation from all LWC wrestlers and parents is required.
Please consider this when registering for LWC and reserve that date on your calander.
